Google AdSense team has posted 'Showcase your site with Google Ad Planner's Publisher Center'. To help you increase the visibility of your sites to potential advertisers, we've just launched the Publisher Center in Google Ad Planner. This will allow you to provide details about your sites to help attract advertisers. Though the Publisher Center is only available in English at this time, any publisher can use the tool.

As a quick reminder, Ad Planner is a media planning tool that helps agencies and advertisers find sites that cater to their target audiences. In the new Publisher Center within Ad Planner, you can claim sites you own and customize the descriptions for each. For each site, you can also add up to five categories that describe your site's content, and the types, sizes, and formats of ads that your site supports.

In addition, you can share your Google Analytics data with Ad Planner to provide advertisers with additional details about your site, such as the number of unique visitors and page views. By replacing Ad Planner traffic estimates with data measured directly by Google Analytics, you'll be able to provide advertisers with more accurate site traffic information.

Based on this information, agencies and advertisers using Ad Planner will be able to identify appropriate sites to include in their placement-targeted campaigns. As more advertisers become aware of your sites and bid to show ads on them, the competition among your ads will increase and so should your earnings potential.

Analytics integration for all

Google AdSense team has posted 'Analytics integration for all'. Over the past few months, we've been gradually inviting ublishers to integrate their AdSense accounts with Google Analytics, and today we're happy to announce that this feature is now available to all publishers. Integrating your account with Analytics will provide you with more detailed information about traffic to your pages and how users interact with your site.

Once you link your accounts, you'll find an AdSense-specific menu under the 'Content' section of the left-hand navigation bar on your Analytics homepage, containing these reports:

- The Top AdSense Content report allows you to see more details about specific pages on your site and analyze ad performance. For instance, if you find that some of your pages generate a high number of pageviews but aren't monetizing as well as other pages, you can focus your optimization efforts on improving these pages. - The Top AdSense Referrers report can help you see how different incoming traffic sources contribute to your revenue. - Last, the AdSense Trending report lets you analyze how your site generates revenue during different times of the day and different days of the week.

You'll also notice that other sections of your Analytics account will show a new 'AdSense Revenue' tab. You'll be able to compare how much of your AdSense revenue is coming from new visitors versus existing ones, and view revenue based on user language.

To take advantage of these new reports, sign in to AdSense and click the 'Integrate your AdSense account with Google Analytics' link on your Reports Overview page. You'll be taken to a step-by-step wizard that will guide you through the rest of the process. If you use AdSense in a language that's not supported by Analytics, you can still link your accounts and view your Analytics reports in a different language.

Taking advantage of the uncertainty surrounding Oracle's acquisition of Sun, IBM has doubled the monetary incentives they are offering to ditch Sun gear. Offering $8,000 in software or services for every Sun Sparc processor ditched for an IBM Power server, the program seems to be paying off. IBM has helped 1,640 customers migrate from other manufacturers' hardware over the last year. "The program applies to Sparc-based Sun hardware, such as the Sparc, UltraSparc, and Sparc 64 servers, and also to Fujitsu systems that run on Sparc chips. A customer that moves off a Sparc-powered system running, say, eight processors would be eligible for up to $64,000 worth of rewards."

Why Text Messages Are Limited To 160 Characters

The LA Times has a story about Friedhelm Hillebrand, one of the communications researchers behind efforts to standardize various cell phone technologies. In particular, he worked out the 160 character limit for text messages. "Hillebrand sat at his typewriter, tapping out random sentences and questions on a sheet of paper. As he went along, Hillebrand counted the number of letters, numbers, punctuation marks and spaces on the page. Each blurb ran on for a line or two and nearly always clocked in under 160 characters. That became Hillebrand's magic number ... Looking for a data pipeline that would fit these micro messages, Hillebrand came up with the idea to harness a secondary radio channel that already existed on mobile networks. This smaller data lane had been used only to alert a cellphone about reception strength and to supply it with bits of information regarding incoming calls. ... Initially, Hillebrand's team could fit only 128 characters into that space, but that didn't seem like nearly enough. With a little tweaking and a decision to cut down the set of possible letters, numbers and symbols that the system could represent, they squeezed out room for another 32 characters.

Can the New Digital Readers Save the Newspapers?

Hugh Pickens writes "The NY Times reports that several companies plan to introduce digital newspaper readers by the end of the year with screens roughly the size of a standard sheet of paper to present much of the editorial and advertising content of traditional periodicals in generally the same format as they appear in print. Publishers hope the new readers may be a way to get consumers to pay for those periodicals — something they have been reluctant to do on the Web — while allowing publishers to save millions on the cost of printing and distributing their publications, at precisely a time when their businesses are under historic levels of pressure from the loss of readers and advertising. 'We are looking at this with a great deal of interest,' said John Ridding, the chief executive of the 121-year-old British newspaper The Financial Times. 'The severe double whammy of the recession and the structural shift to the Internet has created an urgency that has rightly focused attention on these devices.' The new tablets will start with some serious shortcomings: the screens, which are currently in the Kindle and Sony Reader, display no color or video and update images at a slower rate than traditional computer screens. But many think the E-ink readers are simply too little, too late and have not appeared in time to save the troubled realm of print media. 'If these devices had been ready for the general consumer market five years ago, we probably could have taken advantage of them quickly,' said Roger Fidler, the program director for digital publishing at the University of Missouri, Columbia. 'Now the earliest we might see large-scale consumer adoption is next year, and unlike the iPod it's going to be a slower process migrating people from print to the device.'"

UK Possibly Exploring "Google Tax"

The UK government is considering proposals that could hit Google and other search engines with an online advertising tax to help boost revenue for the BBC. While these proposals are still in their infancy, some are already attacking the idea of taxing a growth industry in the middle of a recession. "Sources say the proposed taxes have been discussed by officials at the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. They would also have to be approved by the Treasury before they could be introduced. The chair of the culture, media and sport committee, Conservative MP John Whittingdale, dismissed what he called a 'windfall tax' on search engines."

Hugh Pickens writes "MSNBC reports that in 1969, Walter T. Davey, an aeronautical engineer at North American Rockwell, discovered he was being overpaid by roughly 2 cents an hour, or one-third of 1 percent of his pay. Davey submitted the discovery to his superiors and suggested a simple fix. 'It was so simple to correct,' said Davey, a 79-year-old retired Air Force colonel, 'just change a few digits in the coding software.' The Project on Government Oversight, which reviewed Davey's findings last year, estimated the change could save taxpayers $270 million a year. Multiply by 40 years — the length of time since Davey made his discovery — and the figure grows to an astounding $10.8 billion. Legislators ignored Davey's letters, federal auditors deferred to Congress, and lobbyists 'descended on it and tore it into a piece of Swiss cheese' but legislators aren't eager to challenge the powerful defense lobby about a figure that's a relative pittance in the overall defense budget — even if it exceeds $100 million annually. 'A lot of people have taken advantage of the system to reap as much in taxpayer dollars as possible,' says Scott Amey, general counsel for the Project on Government Oversight. 'But when you're going up against the contractor lobby — whether you're an individual across the country or a public interest group or a government employee — it's a tough road.'"

Torpig Botnet Hijacked and Dissected

An anonymous reader writes "A team of researchers at UC Santa Barbara have hijacked the infamous Torpig botnet for 10 days. They have released a report (PDF) that describes how that was done and the data they collected. They observed more than 180K infected machines (this is the number of actual bots, not just IP addresses), collected 70GB of data stolen by the Torpig trojan, extracted almost 10K bank accounts and credit card numbers worth hundreds of thousands of dollars in the underground market, and examined the privacy threats that this trojan poses to its victims. Considering that Torpig has been around at least since 2006, isn't it time to finally get rid of it?"

Gamasutra has an interview with members of Off Topic Productions, the team behind the recent completion of The Nameless Mod, a Deus Ex modification that was in development for seven years. They talk about how they stayed interested in such a lengthy, unpaid project, and also how their vision for the mod shifted over the years as a result of experience and feedback. "We estimate that we recreated everything we did during the first 2 or so years because we got better. The plot went through 4 revisions in the first year and was continually tweaked, expanded, and revised. Most of it also simply came about as we experimented with the game and the engine and grew familiar with what we could do — originally we were planning something even more open and free-form than we ended up with, but when we realized how fundamentally the game was built for a completely different type of structure, we reigned ourselves in and adjusted our design. ... Also, I don't know if you ever go back and read what you wrote 6-7 years ago, but in my experience that's a great way to embarrass yourself — I spent a lot of time rewriting old dialogue to be less embarrassing."

The BBC reports that Norway is experimenting with a system that would let secondary school students take their school exams on laptop computers. According to the article, using computers for exams isn't new there, but it's been on fixed machines rather than personal computers that the students can take with them and use for other purposes throughout the school day. Having suffered through three years of exams taken on the awful [1]SoftTest (inflexible, single-platform, ugly, buggy), I hope they do a better job — this is something that is all too easy to get wrong.

An animated television series entitled Sora o Miageru Shōjo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai (空を見上げる少女の瞳に映る世界 ?, lit. Allow Sex in All Dutch Parks

AMSTERDAM, 08/03/08 - The police's National Diversity Expertise Centre (LECD) wants sex allowed in all public parks in the Netherlands. The police institute has advised the cities to follow the example of Amsterdam, De Telegraaf newspaper reported Friday.

In Amsterdam's Vondelpark, owners of dogs let off the leash can be fined, but sex will shortly be permitted. "Why should we try to maintain something that is actually impossible to maintain, which also causes little bother for others and for a certain group actually signifies much pleasure?" says Paul van Grieken, the responsible Alderman in the Oud-Zuid district of Amsterdam.

Van Grieken confirmed that the plan to tolerate public sex in Vondelpark is part of a draft version of new rules of conduct for the city's best-known park. The regulations are to come into force after the summer. "Of course there are strict rules attached. Thus, condoms must always be cleared away, it must never take place in the neighbourhood of children's playgrounds and the sex must be restricted to the evening and night-time."

The draft memorandum says that fines will be maintained for dogs running around off the leash that, for example, cause nuisance to sunbathing or cycling users of the park. "The research showed that many people find this disturbing," according to the alderman.

LECD is now calling on Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht to tolerate 'cruising' gays in all their parks. In a letter to the administrators of the three cities, the police institute says that by regulating sex in public, the safety of homosexuals from 'queer-bashers' can be better guaranteed.

Thus, it says in the recommendations that "officers must not disturb the activities, as long as they do not cause any actual nuisance" and they would "only have to take corrective action if there is a question of actual offensive behaviour that is visible from the public path."

Homosexuals' organisation COC is pleased that the Amsterdam Oud-Zuid district is to be the first to tolerate sex in the Vondelpark. "Cruising is something belonging to all time and banning it does not work anyway. They do it surreptitiously and mostly without others being annoyed by it. But homos at cruising spots are often attacked. By now agreeing rules of behaviour on this, safety can be increased," according to COC Amsterdam chairman Dennis Boutkan.

A good way to get the ball rolling is the shoulder squeeze.

Wait until she's not paying attention and then excuse yourself. As you excuse yourself give her a gentle squeeze on the shoulder then trail your fingers down her arm a little (no further than the top of her bicep) as you finish what you're saying.

Example: "Hey Jen, *shoulder squeeze* I'm going to get a fresh drink, *trail off into a gesture of where you're going* would you like anything while I'm up?"

This is just an "I'm getting your attention" touch. It's the equivalent to a backslap among guys and just sends the message that you're a tactile person.

If she looks at you and smiles and responds, give her another squeeze as you leave. When you get back, approach from the other direction and give her other shoulder a light touch to let her know you've arrived. Sit down and start talking again, when you want to emphasize a point or the two of you are laughing, take her hand in yours and give it another squeeze or a light touch.

She'll start reflecting your actions after the first time you touch her hands. If she draws back when you touch her, at any point, stop making physical advances and just put your hands or body where she can easily reach you. Once she gets comfortable she'll start touching you.

You'll get one hell of a grin out of this once you get comfortable with the thousands of ways people touch one another. Once you start you'll find you've opened the floodgates. I think women communicate more, better and deeper with their bodies than any other way.

What do you like? Sports? Soccer? Meet women at soccer class or related events. Do you love the gym? Meet her at the gym, or yoga class, or whatever. Just be ready to approach women.

Keep in mind you'll find bitchy women everywhere. Disco, Yoga Class, Gym, Library, Concert, Club, Bar, School, Park, Mall... wherever you look, there WILL be un-available and un-wanted women... it's simply a fact.

Brad Van Pelt died on February 17, 2009, from an apparent heart attack. He was 57. Brad Van Pelt will stay as a great champ and remembered by many for his outstanding contributions to one of the most prestigious sport, the NFL. Brad Alan Van Pelt was very famous in American football being a consistent linebacker who played fourteen seasons in the National Football League. He played for the New York Giants from 1973 to 1983, the Los Angeles Raiders from 1984 to 1985, and the Cleveland Browns in 1986. He was selected to the Pro Bowl five times from 1976 to 1980. He is the father of former Denver Broncos and Houston Texans quarterback Bradlee Van Pelt.

Prosecutor drops one of the charges in Pirate Bay trial

STOCKHOLM (AFP) — The prosecutor in a trial against The Pirate Bay, one of the world's leading file-sharing websites, dropped one of the two charges Tuesday, but experts said the move would have little impact on the outcome.

The four people who run the site were now only charged with making films or music protected by intellectual copyright laws accessible to the public, prosecutor Haakan Roswall said during the second day of the trial, which is being broadcast live on Swedish public radio.

The second charge of copying films and music had been dropped, he said.

"This is not surprising, at least for those who follow the matter. We knew that The Pirate Bay wasn't making any copies directly," Sanna Wolk, a doctor in law and researcher at Stockholm University, told AFP.

"The most serious aspect is to make an artistic work available to the public and if you do that, then that is more serious than the actual act of copying," Daniel Westman, a PhD student in information technology law at Stockholm University, told Swedish news agency TT.

Founded in 2003, The Pirate Bay makes it possible to skirt copyright fees and share music, film and computer game files using torrent technology, or peer-to-peer links offered on the site.

None of the material can thus be found on The Pirate Bay server itself.

The Pirate Bay claims to have some 22 million users worldwide.

The four on trial are Fredrik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm and Peter Sunde -- the three founders of the site in their thirties -- as well as Carl Lundstroem, 48, who is accused of being a part owner.

If found guilty, each face sentences up to two years in jail and heavy fines.

The four denied any wrongdoing when the trial opened on Monday.

Representatives of the movie, music and video games industry are asking for around 115 million kronor (10.6 million euros, 13.5 million dollars) in damages and interest for losses incurred from tens of millions of illegal downloads facilitated by the company.

The trial is set to last about three weeks.

West Texas originated in a moment of solitude while Jim Ward was waiting to soundcheck on what turned out to be the last At The Drive-In tour. Fast forward seven years, and Sleepercar releases a full length album chock full of Americana rock inspired by all things West Texas and influenced by the likes of Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen.

WHAT: Sleepercar is fresh from a performance on the famed Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where they perfected "Wasting My Time." West Texas has a lot of strength and expansive depth, creating a sprawling, beautiful sound. The sounds of the instruments add to the reflective theme Ward hoped to explore. The final recording took place in a second-story loft with dome ceilings in El Paso.

TEDDY GEIGER SET TO HEADLINE THE "TG33 4U TOUR" OF NORTH AMERICA BEGINNING JUNE 11

Teddy Geiger will hit the road in June to headline the "TG33 4U Tour," a 33 date summer-long North American concert tour beginning June 11 at the Glass House in Pomona, California and running through July 24 at the Handlebar in Greenville, South Carolina (see full itinerary following). Rising young artist Hilary McRae will support on the tour.

Teddy's 33 venue concert tour presented by CoverGirl follows the launch of his unprecedented TG33 online initiative. The TG33 Fan Experience will give Geiger's fans their first taste of 33 newly recorded original Teddy Geiger songs with the opportunity to A&R, listen, rate and vote on which of the new songs they'd most like to appear on Teddy's forthcoming album, his first since his critically-acclaimed "Underage Thinking" entered the Billboard Top 200 at #8 in March 2006 and yielded a million selling Hot AC Top 10 single -- "For You I Will" -- when Geiger was just 16.

Liars will release the "Freak Out EP" on Mute July 8, 2008. The digital-only release includes "Freak Out," an unreleased live version of "Clear Island" and the video for "Plaster Casts Of Everything," directed by Patrick Daughters (Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, Feist) plus the video for "House Clouds" directed by Sonny Gerasimowicz (Where The Wild Things Are) - all from the latest album ‘Liars’ which Rolling Stone described as a "career album." From Bubblegum To Sky: "A Soft Kill" (Eenie Meenie)

PiL, meds, disco, half Mexican, half Japanese, The SOS Band, monster guitar riffs, drinking, more drinking, The dB's, divorce, death, arrests, cannibalism, no compromises, The Bee Gees, shimmering melodies and stalking. FROM BUBBLEGUM TO SKY ain't no sunny pop affair - it just sounds like it.

By winter, A Soft Kill, the third full-length album by FROM BUBBLEGUM TO SKY is certain to be considered one of the greatest one-man albums of the year. Only the maturity that comes with brushing against and immersing oneself in the influences mentioned above could bring out an album that is at once ultimately catchy, realistically morose, and expertly played. In a word: fucking relatable.

The one man is Mario Hernandez and he's been wrestling with a few demons. Hernandez's previous records Me and Amy and the Two French Boys (Eenie Meenie, 2000) and Nothing Sadder Than Lonely Queen (Eenie Meenie, 2004) certainly hinted at genius - what with the confessional lyrics sung in a helium tinged voice that lights the drapes on fire meeting the hook laden crunch fest that cools 'em down. With A SoftKill, Hernandez has crafted a masterpiece. He demurs, stating, "This record is much more inspired - less obvious indie pop, more organic anddrunk. It's an outlet and easily my favorite record." Ours, too.

A Soft Kill brings to mind the concept of the vices people use to kill themselves slowly. Not a murder, but a soft kill. Feelings we've all felt are wrapped in pristine pop melodies, sandpaper-y guitars and avocal style dictated by the radio programs of second generation pop songs and high voiced singers that Hernandez listened to before departing Japan for America at the age of 12.

As a self-contained pop machine (occasionally joined by bassist Frank Jordan and keyboardist Bill Evans) Hernandez does the control freak edict of Billy Corgan and Dave Grohl proud on A Soft Kill. No one should be playing drums on a FROM BUBBLEGUM TO SKY record but Hernandez -- this kind of urgency demands the percussive touch of the author, after all! And is he ever keeping time - 11 songs, 30 minutes. It doesn't get any better.

"I feel like it's a band, even though it's just me," he says. "The things that people are doing to me, or I'm doing to them, or whatever experiences I'm having -- that's the band. I couldn't write without those experiences and in a way that's what a band member does."

There has been some issues between members and special arrangements that force the group to look for new members.

Oh, we were already planning to watch this World Pyro Olympics III-2008 (The Greatest Show in the World) live in The Esplanade, Bay City, Pasay or commonly known as Mall Of Asia a few days before the event.

It was my first time to experience the said event and I can't believed in my very own eyes that the crowd would almost fill the whole wide open area. Just in the mall, we already experienced a little stampede in the public. The ticket costs PhP 150.00 and it would also cost you to fall in line (I'd rather say, fall in the crowd!) lol

Looking for a restaurant / bar where we can order something to eat and drink while watching the great show has taken so much of our time. Every booth was occupied and there are so many reservations. The only choice we have is to buy a hotdog sandwich and stand along bay side. Jeez, the sandwich can't suffice the most awaited Pyro Olympics!

Nevertheless, let me share to you the photos and videos of everything that happened in World Pyro Olympics. Please understand the picture quality. Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! If I had only my SLR camera, this would definitely be the best pictures ever.

We're so hopeless that we still can't find a decent place to hangout. After a 15 minute fireworks display, there has been an exhibition dance held in the front bay. We worry no more the whole crowd. We set our butts on and watched the dance exhibition show.

After that long staring event, we ended up walking to Pier One bar and restaurant. The bar didn't welcome us so well, again due to the World Pyro Olympics it can only accommodate the few who have reservations and first to come. On the way to the other side, we were still fooling around to the guy we've heard during the fireworks display. He was really enjoying the show at he's voice sounds so weird saying, "WaW...." (do it like a voice of a special child!).

Alas! We set foot in Padis Point (MOA). Good thing we knew, there is a great band playing inside. The circular lighthouse-design of the bar projects a mutual effect and the lights are perfect. The bar actually really looks better compared to other resto-bars in the same area. The food is good but the service is poor. The music is also good. Several genres has been playing in Padis Point resto-bar. There were love songs, rock and the best hip-hop tunes. The place is heating up and we took a plunged!

In the middle of our hangout, my friend Paul called me up on the phone and he wanted to come in Mall of Asia. I let him in the bar and he seem to be the perfect guy with perfect clothes. Rhea was begging to dance every time the music goes hip-hop and remix. Well, I can let her down and it was like every body wants to dance in the dance floor. We really get off on our chair and do some weird dancing (the funny part: I was wearing shorts and my dance was a disaster). Sorry, I don't have a video for that to offer. :P

Learning To Be On A Team, Party Later!

My knees are shaking, my voice is downbeat and my thinking is way too short. I just can't rationalize and even generalize the points in the book.

Last Friday, I was really unprepared to explain to the team about the meaning of "Law of Niche", the third law in John Maxwell's "The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork: Embrace Them and Empower Your Team". I was surely lack of sleep the night before I went to office. I had several projects to get done and got home late. Here's a proof of having less sleep:

I never had a chance to prepare for my discussion regarding the Law of Niche. I had no choice but to come to office and shoot my luck. After lunch break, I was a little surprise that my pen keeps on taking notes of important points regarding the topic in the book. Thank God, my ideas keep on flowing that even failed me to go out with my group (a usual tambay at the Ministop after lunch) during that moment.

I thought the teamwork discussion wouldn't be made possible because of Reggie's teaching regarding the ASP Net Progamming 101 took so much time. However, our senior insisted there is still time for me to discuss the book.

The Law Of Niche

Which means all players have a place where they add the most value.

John Maxwell gives five dynamic changes in a team:
Wrong person in the wrong place = Regression
Wrong person in the right place = Frustration
Right person in the wrong place = Confusion
Right person in the right place = Progression
Right people in the right place = Multiplication

He also suggested that in order to put people in their place (Team Leader):
1. You must know the team (vision, purpose of organization).
2. You must know the situation (level of talent, matching the person).
3. You must know the player (evaluate experience, skills, attitude, passion, skills, potential).

The book gives ways on how to find your niche. In order to find it follow these:
1. Be secure.
2. Get to know yourself.
3. Trust your leader.
3. See the Big picture.
4. Rely on your experience.

Lastly, John Maxwell suggested to become a better team member, you must have research and planning when you are in a team of such organization.

That's how I discussed the Law of Niche.

I think I did good in front of my team members but not of my best yet so far. I think I can do better in my work and in my career, just a little more time. I think I am just saying these because I have to party harder, later!

I was going to blog this supposedly before my previous postings. So, this is a delayed post because of hectic schedules and some priorities. Anyway, here's the table setting and dine with me:

First week of May was truly wonderful. I met my very good friend, Ava at Glorietta and we were looking for a nice place to dine. She's very picky when it comes to foods. I'm always trying to anticipate her mind so that everything works perfect but it's not always been an easy task. haha One thing I can not forget when we're ordering is her choice of drink, simply a bottled water.

The evening is relaxing. It's an odd that night. Restaurants and bars didn't played loud music. We're talking about so many things while walking up to the second level of Greenbelt and I was imagining a melodious nocturnal song. I can't figure out why. Then, a few meters away, there was an interesting wooden x-board ad placed outside the glass door of the restaurant. I read it and the menus are great! I said to Ava, "Would you like to dine in this place? I thought you might like curry...". Actually, I was the one who likes curry. :)

Banana Leaf Curry House serves the best foods in town. I heard it is one of the best Asian cuisine here in the Philippines. It has been an outstanding restaurant from 2004 to 2007 awarded by the Philippine Tatler. There are wide tables inside and outside intended for groups. Banana Leaf has the same area with the neighboring restaurants and bars but the table settings, the ceiling and interior decorations provide a more spacious appearance. It serves Hainanese Chicken, Sop Laksa, Samsosa, Chicken in Pandan Leaves, Malaysian Ox-tail Soup, Prawn Sashimi, Samosa, Chili Stir Fried Crab, Malayan Curry Prawns, Nasi Goreng, Penang Char Kway, etc.

I ordered Malayan Chicken Curry with Potatoes, my friend Ava has chosen Barbecue Roasted Whole Baby Back Ribs and Penang Fried Rice with Salted Fish and Chicken was our choice.

Mr. MVP Kobe Bryant leads LA Lakers to win against San Antonio Spurs from 20-point second-half deficit game. I was chilling out after the big lead of points made by Spurs a moment ago. But the third quarter and last quarter was very frustrating for my team. Spurs only made 13 points in the last quarter and 24 points from Lakers. Bryant scored 27 points after halftime, from his go-ahead, 10-foot jumper in the lane with a few seconds remaining.

What Bryant did was truly remarkable that leads the Lakers and rallied from a 20-point deficit to beat the Spurs 89-85 (Game 1).

The Forbidden Kingdom is a 2008 Hollywood martial arts-adventure film from Lionsgate and The Weinstein Company directed by Rob Minkoff. It is the first film to star together two of the best-known names in the martial arts film genre, Jackie Chan and Jet Li. The film opens during a battle between Sun Wukong, the Monkey King (Jet Li), and heavenly soldiers amongst the clouds. It is then revealed the sequence was a dream when a young teenager, Jason Tripitikas (Michael Angarano), awakens in his room plastered with vintage kung fu movie posters.

Did you ever plan of doing something different in the weekend? Did anything came across to your mind like saying, "How is it going to be when I've got whatever I want this Saturday"? Or have you experienced anything that is quite remarkable? For me and my friends, I (we) did something extraordinary just this Friday and Saturday. We have hot-drenched ourselves into Sun City resort. Let me share to you some of our memorable moments and photos as you read along.

Friday was a bit of rush. People from different walks of life were eager to get on the bus just to go home early for their family. The bus was overloaded with passengers and our travel was a little late due traffic. Typically, the travel time from Makati to Alabang would be less than an hour. As we arrived in Alabang, we were waiting for Mark to come along with us. Hey! Cat and mouse, it's raining outside. So we stand by the overpass till Mark arrived.

Another minutes passed but still our man of the hour haven't arrived yet. It's cold and raining however, my fingers can't resist to take a shot below. So here's what I've got:

We immediately ride on the bus going to Laguna when Mark has arrived. Heavy rain falls by drops along the way and up till we got in the Sun City resort. The experience was amazing! Imagine, five of us were partly wet and for that we badly need a room. The resort was almost fully booked yet there is one family room available for us, but for my friends the price is just an issue. Furthermore, a 12-hours-stay policy of the resort is enough to enjoy this weekend.

Yeah, the camera lens is of low quality but this is quite good shot, isn't it? I was pissed a little by the resort's alcoholic beverages policy. They will only allow anyone to drink till 10:00 pm. The rest of the night is not permitted. The good thing is that they don't care what you do inside the room. (*hek!hek!hek!) So, we fooled around, turned the music on loud, and talked till the bottles are down.

The two guys are obviously minors (below 16) and both girls are matured women. They're so cute anyways! lol

That same night, we drenched ourselves into the hot pools. The steamy water in the pool makes my body relaxed and perfect for that very cold night. I think there was a reunion of so called, "naturally-men-before and artificially-women-now". Sexy gays are everywhere in the pool. The good thing is they can't see cute guys in the dark (they're somewhat busy with topless fashion show). haha

Yes, for the Big Spurs! The playoff series is now tied and up for game 7. Just a moment ago, I was fetching information via Yahoo sports live scoreboard and I was a bit surprised that my team, San Antonio Spurs wins and leading the score of 19 points.

Spurs made a great play in the first half and ended it with 36 points, whereas 24 points was made by Hornets. The second half was a bit crucial for the Spurs that the Hornets taken over the game and made 27 points. Spurs were down by 5 points. The third and final quarter were consistent plays for Spurs that they made a great momentum throughout the game. The final score was 80-99 which lead the Spurs into game 7 with New Orleans Hornets. Tim Duncan has made 20 Pts, 15 Reb, 6 Ast Duncan 20 pts, 15 Reb, and 6 AST while C. Paul has made 21 Pts, 6 Reb, 8 Ast Pablo 21 pts, 6 Reb, and 8 AST .

3. Food Trip. I agree, almost all mothers know how to cook, at least, a special fried eggs in the morning or a sandwich with mayonnaise in it. This could be a restaurant where they prepare seafoods or meat depending on what your mother likes to eat. You should know her food preferences well.

7. Picnic at the Park & Rides. This one works well if you have siblings or small children staying at your parents. Family bonding is very important and in fact your mother will truly appreciate the picnic at the park or treating her with the family members for different rides at a theme park. You have a lot of time to talk about while having a walk or a picnic at the eco park. On the other hand, she will be glad to know you too care for the family and you bring happiness to your little siblings.

8. Movie and Grocery Shopping. Treating your mom into a movie theater and let her shop in the grocery stores and you take care of the bills during this mother's day are very common things but it is a very good combination. Wall Climbing on Sandugo Wall at Market! Market! (First Time!)

Who says only lizards, ants and spiders can climb walls? I can climb too! haha As a matter of fact, I was in a little messy going down from the top and free falling...

Early this day, I still had a slight hang-over from last night's hangout with co-employees at the Big Grill and with a set of new friends through Fretz (this was on another place). Add it up, the dizziness and sleepiness feeling but those weren't a hindrance to me having to climb the wall this Saturday. So I did stretched up myself and got a good exercise for an exciting climb on the thick multiplex board later.

I was pretty excited! :)

That Indoor Wall climbing @ Sandugo, Market-Market has been luring me ever since my big fat stomach developed. The real thing is that wall climbing develops the upper body, knees and feet muscles. The Sandugo Walls is located at the level 5 of Market! Market!, Global City Fort Bonifacio, Taguig. It consists of six different rock-textured walls.

The left side of the wall are two easy way up but it seems to me that the artificially constructed modular hand holds are becoming smaller. I did some little observations before taking my hands and feet up to it.

Actually, there were two girls (probably at my own age) comes first and ready to go. The other one took the left wall and the next one took just the other side of the left wall (the one I climb with too). It seems pretty easy for them and they've reached the top at about 15 mins only. That is quite tough!

Still, I'm not getting a good determination to go that high until I see the old folks at right doing well. So, I guess I have no choice but to try it. After all, exercise has to be fun and exciting! With a Php 50.00 fee for one time climb, you've got nothing to loose. A fee of Php 140.00 if you go an unlimited climb and an extra fee of Php 200.00 for the belayer (trainor or the person in charge to your rope). Shoes are inclusive, so, you have nothing to worry about the gears.

My first grip was pretty cool and I enjoyed the feeling. I can feel my upper body reflexes every time I reach. Both of my fingers are gripping well on those modular hand holds. I can't believe I am actually climbing at that moment and it's obviously a great feeling!

(camera sucks! it didn't even get close up my head... *sigh)

On the middle of the wall, my hands are tighten up and my feet are moving slowly. I felt that I was being tossed upwards but I resist due to gravity. I thought this path is fine but then again reaching the top has been a difficult task. Modular hand tools are becoming smaller, thinner and fewer. If I had only regular pull-up exercises that wouldn't have to be hard, at least.

Yeah! Whooooooh! That's what I felt on the moment I reached the top of the basic wall. It's like all of my worries, my super stressed weekdays and my daily routine sticked on that wall. My arms gave out and feet can't move any longer, so I repel (free falling) with the aid of belayer. Damn, my muscles in the upper and lower shoulders were packed closely together after that 15 minutes climb.

(I'm no professional wall climber so better keep your eyes off me! hehe)

Over all, it was a great experience of climbing the wall from bottom to top. Yay! Too many people on the ground and all are eyes on me. Nevertheless, who cares? I was on high! haha...

I'm planning to go back and climb again next weekend or so with my friend(s) depending on their availability.

Random Gazing

When stars in the sky are present and twinkling all night-long, I admit, I do random star gazing during my childhood. The reason why it happens back then all the time is because I think too many things. Usually those things were random questions that just keep on popping in my mind. Like "Am I going to have a lot of friends"?, "What kind of friends do I get to know next year"?, "Can they be best buddies"? and "I'm sure I will have another best friend, won't I"? Sometimes, there were things I thought like what's the feeling of having a special someone. Yes, I have that kind of thinking. How about you?

I always have a friend. It's just that I can't keep some of them for life for sometimes they come and go. When my girlfriend and I broke up last 4 years ago, I tried to get over it by making friends at work and some friends I get to know through my best interest. Even if I have so much friends and has an average job, I still lack of something-significant other. Yeah, I may be a lousy type of person when it comes to courting but I do have good eyes.

Nevertheless, eyes, eyes, eyes...like bedroom eyes, dilating and random gazing! My heart's pumping and breath-taking a little slower are effects of wonderful and lovely eyes. One who beholds such eyes turns me on. They're like stars at night that I can randomly gaze. The more I look at it, the more I came to realize how things will work out sooner or later. Am I still perplexing here?

Well, I meet my special friend (let's keep her name in secret) last Saturday after her meeting with their main branch. Woo oh! Did I said, her? Ah, yes she's a lovely lady. I invited her for a dinner and we had a wonderful talk in the restaurant that all I can do is gaze and gaze into her eyes all over again. Every time she smiles, I got carried away and every time I looked into her eyes, again, my heart is pumping and slowly breath-taking. You may be curious if she's my significant other or not? Unfortunately, or, I may say she's seeing me as NOT her boyfriend in the future. Yeah, right. I am so unfortunate to that other side of love, indeed! But I have her as a friend and I can keep her forever. I think and feel that its better that way. This could be a long post if I give all the details behind that story. :)

So, after that hours of talk we ended up watching the heart of Greenbelt 3 from its over-looking balcony at Level 3. The scene played its part where you can truly appreciate the cozy evening. From there everything has been meaningful.

To add a little savor to this post, during that evening, an Afro-Brazilian Weekends Night played on the small center stage at the level two while we somehow get to hear their music on a short while.

De Lara Grand Launch at Eastwood City, Libis

Have you heard about, Mojofly-the band that offers a more radio-friendly and pop-leaning alternative music to Filipinos? They have actually a new name, De Lara. I think the band members are still intact and somehow just a little changes in their music style.

This Friday night, my friend and I went to a graduation party of his cousin in Muñoz, Quezon City. From there, all we could think about was escaping from a game initiated by the celebrant. So, we decided to leave after a few moments when our stomach was full. It was a blessed getaway though. haha

Although we've not seen Greenbelt on its Friday night live, still Eastwood City, Libis was at the highest priority in our pocket. There we heard a good music. I was instantly amazed with the guitar riffs, the smooth drums and the fine vocals when we're out from the taxi. I said to my friend, "Dude that voice sounds familiar. It's like a band I've known for years." So, we go and checked out that interesting music coming from the heart of Eastwood. And seeing them in front of us, was truly surprising. The formerly Mojofly is now called as De Lara. On that night was their grand launch. It is good to see these guys are back on the track and continue to play and share their music interest with us.

Fully Booked & Wacky! @Bonifacio High Street

This past Thursday I invited Marlon, Paul, and Rex to have a walk and sight-seeing in the futuristic open-wide shopping center and unique displays of Bonifacio High Street, commonly known to many as Serendra, the Fort, Bonifacio Global City. For me, the unfinished beautiful condos surrounding the place and is nearly at my place make its name like my "Kapit-Bahay". Cool, right?

Ludicrously, four of us were reunited. We had one common instinct again and that is to check out the cute girls that passed our way. Just kidding! Seriously, we're not very good into that. We don't even know how to throw the best pick-up line.

There is this thing standing in the middle of Bonifacio High Street that seems to be a big wall of teddy bear. We had picture on it and Paul was obviously the wackiest one in the group. I call this scene as the "Teddy Up on Us". The pose was a disaster, kindly check the picture at the right. Haha I think that is the best we can showed on my 2 Mega Pixel Sony Ericsson P990i. If I had only enabled the flash and the night mode it would have been a lot better shot, I guess. Another thing that made this picture a not-so-good was the photographer, ouch! Just kidding!!! Sorry Rex, I was expecting you must have taken the whole Teddy with us. Peace man!

If we were into a band, I think we definitely have the market value in terms of pose and rock attitude. Just make the lighting and background dark with no minimalism design behind. Just take a look at these two pictures of wannabe rock a fellas:

Well, enough said of that too good to be true words.

Just in one corner of this Bonifacio High Street area is Fully Booked. Fully Booked has a huge collection from children's books, design, graphic novels, humanities, lifestyles, professional, magazines, and even music. This lifestyle haven has 5 stories, a movie theater, and other event spaces. You don't have to worry if you need a coffee break for two floors has Starbucks coffee, the leading retailer, roaster and brand of specialty coffee in the world.

If you are dealing with new and old books, Fully Booked at Bonifacio High Street in Global City is the best place to check out. As we checked the books inside, we found many interesting ones. Actually, we had a mixed up tastes. Again, wacky Paul was exaggerating in his previously read book that he had almost tour the whole area just to see it. I guess you may wonder what was that book, well, it was a collection of pick-up lines. lol

Marlon, on the other hand was a bit curious of something while Rex was nowhere to be found. Rex was naively browsing the advertising books & design section. He thought of buying a book for good color tips using Photoshop and logo designs too but we keep playfully vexing him to get off from work related stuffs for now.

With the 5 levels of Fully Booked, you'll be satisfied from ground to up. Many kids found the lower ground amusing for it is housed by famous action figures, anime and manga books, cartoons and comics, magazines and cool greeting cards.

As for me, Fully Booked's most interesting section is for Professional: Psychology and Novels.

Although I am not a person devoted to books sometimes there are some books that cannot be ignored. Usually, I find it interesting by just looking at the title. Sometimes the content itself (even if the title is not a striking one) can be worth the time to read or just because many people talked about it and it is one hell famous in the market. Do you remember the #1 worldwide phenomenon book of Dan Brown, THE DA VINCI CODE? Dan Brown is the author of numerous #1 bestsellers, including Digital Fortress, Angels & Demons, and Deception Point. I didn't bought one of his books. I just borrowed it from a friend and I care less to read THE DA VINCI CODE when its movie came up.

Okay, back to the Psychology section of Fully Booked. There's one book that attracted my attention, "8 Choices That Create A Love That Last". I haven't actually checked the whole thing but I think it is good. 8 Choices That Create A Love That Last was written by beloved author Jill Briscoe. As soon as I had opened the book, there is one part that makes sense to me in an instant.
So what I did was to sit down in a conveniently small leathered chair available in that area and read it for a moment. The introduction poem is spiritually captivating:

After that little book-worming, we decided to eat at McDonald's fast food located near HSBC and under construction hospital, St. Lukes. I was actually going to meet up with a special friend near within the place and is working in Deutsche Bank. Unfortunately, due to hassle from her work she weren't able to see my best buddies. But the whole hour of chatting in the fast food was very well pleasant.

From there, we went back home and took one last picture.
All of us were too lazy to walk faster since we've noticed that we had actually gone that far. That was a bit wacky night for four of us.

Paano ko ba sisimulan ito? Ako si... itago na lamang natin sa pangalang, Erwin. Haayyyy... (deeply sad), sayang kasi yung mga blogs ko, biglang naglaho na lang na parang bula sa hindi ko malaman na dahilan. Kaya eto, gumawa ako ng panibagong personal na photo blog at kung anu-ano pang mga personal kong ginawa sa aking buhay ay dito ko na lang ilalagay. 8 Good Tips to Feel Better In A Day

I've been very conscious about my health and body about two weeks ago. This is because of the fact that I was not so very healthy back from previous months that I always had a migraine, easily get stressed and a fat tummy. I guess you have pictured out what I am saying.

So just a couple of weeks ago, I planned for extra care for my body and health in order to get most of my day right and do well at work. These are "8 Good Tips to Feel Better In A Day" that I would like to share with you.

1. Early Good Sleep. I know some of you have extra jobs to handle after work, whether it is in the field or at home at least you must try to get an early good sleep. What is an early good sleep? It is a regular sleep of 8 hours straight. Just that! It shouldn't be a kind of sleep where you have to get up for nature calls or you have to eat for a second. It is not a kind of sleep where you have to change a new laying position because your body felt tired in just one. More often, a kind of sleep that gives your mind so many explorations is not good as well.

2. 30 Minutes Exercise. After a long period of sleep, your body needs a little tune up and it's time to get up and do a little stretching. Get into the basics of exercise. There are so many ways of exercises to help your body work into its full potential. Check out your local television channel and follow some simple hands, feet, and body movements. You may also get a booklet as a reference to correct exercises. I do stretching for 10-15 minutes, sit-ups from 25-50, push-ups from 15-25 times and stationary jogging for 10 minutes. Exercise really freshens up your day.

3. Eat A Heavy Breakfast. We usually skip meals because we do not have enough time or if we only have at least a couple of minutes, we end up eating in a fast food or buy a single burger, uhmmm maybe, a hot dog sandwich as our choice. Am I wrong? I hope not. haha Seriously, breakfast is a very important meal of the day so it is unforgivable if we skip it or take it for granted. Your body gets weaker between 9:00 am to 11:00 am if no heavy breakfast was not taken inside that little tummy of yours. To get a good feeling in a day, eat as much as you can in the morning. More carbohydrates for us Filipinos and bread for Western culture. A good combination of meat or eggs and vegetables with sweetcorn or mushrooms as side dish are delightful. Of course, fruits have vitamin C which is a key nutrient that the body needs to fight infection, heal wounds, and keep tissues healthy, including the blood vessels and make bones and teeth healthy. If chewing fruits is your problem, drink a fresh fruit juice or fruit shake. :)

4. Be Happy - Smile. A smile is a facial expression formed by flexing the muscles most notably near both ends of the mouth... blah! blah! blah! psychologically means that you create good vibrations to any person in your surrounding. A recent study concludes that happy people are easier to work with, more highly motivated and more willing to tackle a difficult project. So girls, get your lips colored and for boys, have your teeth cleaned before you smile.

5. Be Organized. Work is a very toxic place, isn't it? If you have been loaded with paper works, appointments, etc. there's only one solution to that old routine, be organized. Tally all the following appointments and task and sort them accordingly.

6. Just the Right Lunch. I suggest, you don't need much to eat for lunch if you prefer a good body structure. I've experienced it and learned from it. A cup of rice with fish meal or pasta with chicken serves right. Its okay if you like a fat belly, do you?

7. Have A Break. Again, you don't need to give all your time for work. That's foolish! At least 15-30 minutes break is essential to relax for a little while so many errands awaits in the office. Relax outside or take a short walk in the park with an ice cream to suffice the heat under the sun. A healthy chips or finger foods is also good during break time.

8. Read Books. If you are riding the bus, train, or in a vehicle still your time counts. To make use of that extra time, read books. Many dread reading because they have never found it to be "fun." To make it fun for you, choose books that peek your interest. That's all.
